Count-down to mom. This afternoon, crossing the street with an alumnus who was telling me about how pastrami sandwiches made his hands shake like a heroin addict, I saw a hawk carry off a pigeon from the top ledge of the Carl Fischer building. There was another pigeon sitting right next to this scene, and it barely flinched.

There were many (strangely) map related photos to choose from tonight. But it was kind of the definition of an excellent night. Yarn, bulgogi, gelato, fancy cocktails, two lovely, separate, friends that I adore, and quick-arriving subways. Plus my iPhone selected Hot Chip's Ready for the Floor on my way home from the train and it was everything I could do to resist dancing.
